
About Jessica
Internationally-influenced musician and teacher
Jessica Melas (Billitteri) is a professional music teacher and flute player. Beginning her studies as a young student in NYC, she attended the prestigious LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and the Performing Arts, as well as the Juilliard School MAP program. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts in Flute Performance, studying with teachers including Bernard Goldberg, Susan Palma-Nidel, and Patricia George. As an international performer, she has been an artist at the Siena Summer Music Festival, traveling and performing throughout Italy and Switzerland. Her graduate studies were completed in conjunction with the Conservatory of Music in Milan, Italy with professor Simona Valsecchi. Jessica has also been a performer at masterclasses with William Bennett, Denis Bouriakov, Robert Dick, Valerie Coleman and Imani Winds, amongst others.
Jessica is a certified Texas teacher and has been a professional music teacher in NYC and Round Rock ISD. She teaches flute students of all ages and levels at her flute studio and virtually from Bastrop, Texas, just outside of Austin.
In her free time, Jessica loves spending time with her baby boy, bluegrass guitarist husband, and their rescue chihuahua..
